Science

Douglass Crockwell had a lifelong interest in sciences, especially atomic physics. In 1954 his theory of the particle field was the subject of an "Amateur Scientist" column of Scientific American magazine. He corresponded with some of the leading scientists of the time, including Albert Einstein and Robert Kraichnan.

“The physicist and the artist strive toward a common goal. The concept of space, for example, is the special creation of the physicist. The portrayal of its nature is the problem of the artist.”
